The past few years have been a beautiful whirlwind. Between meeting the man of my dreams, buying a home, getting married, and welcoming our daughter, my world has changed in the best ways possible. But the biggest shift? It was the move that brought us back to the sunshine of Florida.
While I spent much of my life in Colorado, Florida has always held a piece of my heart. From childhood visits to my grandparents to a four-year chapter working at Disney, the sun has always felt like home. Though I once swore to my family I'd never leave Denver again, life (and a certain "Aquaman" of a husband) had other plans. Now, watching my daughter splash in the water and soak in the sun every day, I know we're exactly where we're meant to be.
Moving here meant leaving my career in Real Estate to focus on my growing family, but that creative itch never left. Having spent over a decade in the photography world in Colorado, returning to my camera felt like a natural homecoming. My husband recently gifted me my dream Fuji camera — the perfect addition to my arsenal — and it has reignited that spark to create.
I am so excited to explore this new life, meet the community here in Southwest Florida, and document the unscripted joy of others. This is the beginning of Sunkissed by Miki, and I can't wait to capture something beautiful with you.
